Be Beautiful-Haute Health: Yes I Can

Life does not always slice you peaches with a side of cream. So what do you do to stay motivated and forward moving? Steal a few moments away from the hustle and bustle of your busy day to apply quick confidence boosters to your to-do-list. Reflect on the very simple things that give you an instant feel good high and learn to act on them when you're running low on energy and esteem.

I love early morning conversations with like-minded people regarding execution of the day's plans. For you it may be doing something difficult that provides a challenge or wearing red lipstick on a day you're feeling shy and introverted. Select the booster of your choice that affirms the Yes I Can in you!

Be motivated. Be extroverted. Be boosted.

Hump Day: Over the Heel

Wedge Edge

One of the nicest shoe choices that you can treat your feet to

besides flats are wedges. Wedges provide the comfort of a

heel-less shoe, but with stacks of style. Peep-toes, espadrilles,

and even sneakers have landed in wedge world.

Be cute. Be comfortable. Be stacked.

Hump Day: Over the Heel

Re-Cap

Be it flat or high-rise the masses seem to be grabbing ahold

of the cap toe shoe trend. Try a metallic toe with sequin

embellishments for a flirty date night look or a metal cap toe

on a leather stiletto pump for a more glamorous twist.

Be pumped. Be glamorous. Be captivating.

Hump Day: Over the Heel

Sock It to Me

Pure bliss is what the warmth of a cute pair of cozy socks

can bring. Count on a chic pair of sandals to bring even the

simplest of outfits to life. Cozy plus chic equals a 2013

fashion trend that is exponentially daring. Nylon-blend knee

highs, elastic lace low on the ankle are being spotted on

celebrity Vanessa Hudgens and the like. Pull this off and

become quirky cool or dare to be noted as the fashion flip

that flopped. You decide.

Be unique. Be daring. Be radical.

Let's Just Makeup- Let's Be Healthy

Twerk Team

This blog is dedicated to that leg shaking body bending

music genre we New Orleans natives love and that is

Bounce. Although we all may not be able to squeeze a

vigorous workout into our busy schedules and we may not

have the resources to commit to lengthy gym memberships,

there is still hope for getting that much needed exercise to

remain fit and healthy. When the weekend approaches and

you gather with friends to let your hair down and have

some fun use those moments to your advantage and dance!

And I can’t think of a more heart-rate raising sweat pouring

dance style than that of Bounce. So turn on Big Freedia and

the likes and workout!

Be fit. Be moved. Be energized.

Hump Day: Over The Heel

Your Next Step Is Clear

Signals are not crossed and communication in the design

towers is clear. It’s apparent that the decision has been made

to trickle down transparency in the lives of those of us who

are making a connection with this open trend. Plastic vinyl

pumps and Lucite constructed heels are just a few of the

dwellings that house the clear phenomenon. No worries

because clear doesn’t just mean white. Bright see through

colors add even more life to this look.

Be connected. Be concise. Be clear.

Pretty Organized: How Long Should I Keep Receipts?

How Long Should I Keep Receipts?

So, you are looking for something in your purse or in your pockets and you keep pulling out more and more paper. You start to feel as though your space is overwhelmed by paper and you automatically start throwing everything away. Then a week later you realized, you trashed a receipt that you really needed. Ugh!?

Trust me, I've been there. So, how long should you keep a receipt? Well, it depends. I don't hold on to receipts for too long unless they fit into three categories:

1. I am still considering returning the item on the receipt.

2. It's a really big purchase and I want to save the receipt for future reference.

3. For tax purposes

I have a weekly ritual where I shred any receipts that do not fit into these three categories. So, take the time to look through receipts you will save yourself the frustration of being overwhelmed by them or the aggravation of throwing an important one away.

Much Love and Much Order,

Alaina
