You know, I used to despise pink. I hated all things pink. Why? Well, because my mom dressed me in pink ALL the time. I have so many younger pictures of myself with 45 pink bows in my head. I wore pink so much that once I could dress myself, I wore nothing but black (because it was everything pink wasn't...lol). Well, I've grown to like pink (and other colors) since then and I have to say now, I have an open colorful mind.

Today's Outfit - 1.16.2013

So this black and white polka dot skirt, put me in a retro 70's frame of mind. When I look at it, I think Black Power, Cadillac, and Afros..... So, I decided to bring out the afro! Why not? Hair is an accessory to me, so change it up. Along with a bright colored top, some wide brimmed glasses, and classic pumps...this look just can't be wrong.

I love thrift shopping! Why? Because it's all about being creative. It's not about spending money on an outfit  that was specifically designed by a group of fashion designers or placed strategically on a mannequin....nope, it's about finding your voice in a whole bunch of pieces that have nothing to do with one another. And when you find that perfect piece, it's like finding a buried treasure or your lost puppy. Yup. That's how I feel every time I find an amazing piece.
